Japfest at Mondello Park – ahem somewhat late
This is the last of my epic catch-up tonight (which has involved mixing up of dates and forgetting where I was in the 365) anyway there’s nothing I can do or want to do about that now.
So the last of my catch-up evening is from our photowalk in Mondello Park organised by John Fair, the Sales and Marketing Manager at the park. Ridiculously I still have some car pics from the day to sort out, which I have sat down to do on a couple of occasions but I will get them sorted (only a month late!).
I am far from a car enthusiast and like the first time I was at the National Ploughing Championship the day was a real eye-opener for me, all in a good way.
The weather at the beginning of the day was at best murky but it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of the many people who travelled out for the day. And despite the weather, the mud and lots of walking about, there were plenty of high heels and mad glamour, and I am just not talking about the promotion people (when I say people I do actually mean young women).
The first part of the day took place in one of the corporate suites which was a fantastic place to pop back into, get warmed up with tea, have a look at what snaps you’d taken before heading out again. And before we could do anything we were given a talk about where we could and couldn’t go because we would DIE. IN fairness we were given fantastic access to Mondello and the talk was just to warn us about listening to stewarts and doing what they told us while still having fantastic access to the place.
The beginning of the day was particularly bleakly cold and miserable and I went out and about a couple of times and heading back for tea a couple of times. After lunch I just went out enjoying the photographic pottering. It was a challenge in that weather to try and capture the atmosphere but I tried. And this is the result.

[...] I tried to get cool photographs of the Promo Babes – mind you first we had to ascertain that Redmum wasn’t one when we went through security cos her name wasn’t on the list at the time. [...]

Love the water spray effect. You must have been in just the right place at the right time. Great shot. Full of light and movement, the two guys don’t know what they missed.

Hi Love the site and especially the pics, Marie Mulholland told me to check your site out. I just dug the card she scribbled ‘redmum ‘on and found it at the bottom of one of my bags. Will add you to my blogroll if that’s ok with you?
