Fresh eggs mmm – 365

Fresh farm eggs, yum

I was delighted recently to be given some eggs straight (practically) from the hens and ducks that laid them and they were more than lovely. Unfortunately one came a-cropper in their container when I cycled into town on the clunky (still love them though) Dublin bikes; but all the rest made it home safely. They were gorgeous and I can completely recommend poached duck eggs, they almost poach themselves. Thanks Mags and Mags’s Mammy (from whom the eggs came).

John McCormack Avenue - 365

This is kinda cool, there are a couple of streets in Crumlin named after famous musicians including this one named after John McCormack, a world famous tenor in his day.

Launch of NWCI website

The National Womens’ Council of Ireland recently relaunched their new and improved website with our own Maman Poulet speaking at the event (and guest posting on their blog). The photograph shows Susan McKay, Director of the NWCI, and you can see more images from the launch on Flickr.  Do check out their website and if you’re on Twitter, you can follow them here.
