Cheer Up Ireland photowalk
On Sunday I had the pleasure to be invited by Niall Harbison from Simply Zesty, along with others to take part in a Vodafone ‘Cheer Up Ireland’ photowalk. As the snow in town was manky everyone walked up to Phoenix Park where I joined them.
After making a snow monstrosity we headed back into town via Smithfield (for a jaunt on the big wheel) we went for brunch in Odessa. So thanks to Niall and Vodafone for hauling me out of bed on a cold Sunday morning, delighted that I was able to make it.
The Cheer Up Ireland competition is being run via a Flickr group, Vodafone has put a €100 Amazon gift voucher prize on for the best shot from Sunday’s photowalk. Then the prize for the overall competition is a €3,000 shopping spree at Dundrum shopping centre, and anyone can enter.
I still have some shots to go through so there may be a second Cheer Up Ireland post from Sunday’s photowalk, but this is it for now.

These are fantastic! Funny, I feel jaded when it comes to Canadian snow but it looks like fun there. Wish I’d been there to see it on the ground firsthand!

In fairness C.K. I am sure you get snow in ways we couldn’t imagine, as well as coping better with it. One day last week, we got 1cm or so in Dublin and it brought the city to a standstill, madness! Thanks for commenting

When it snows I always think of the two of us heading up to get the bus to school, getting as far as the shops and either heading home to claim that the buses had been cancelled or rolling in the snow and going home and saying we fell to try and get the day off!
