love the image. black and white is so endearing to me – shadows and light, is there any need for colour really??? :)

I know you have your reasons (infact one which if you remember I tipped you off to a while back) but bummer (boo hiss) on the copyright necessity. Your images are so great that anything imposed on top of them only detracts – takes from what you do so well. I’m not sure (obviously respect you needing to put it on your images) but for me, when you [anyone, me included] put anything on the internet you run a risk of someone using it [read: steal-ing] without permission. It will take a while to be as complete as you would like but TINEYE is adding millions of images (yes millions) every week which will give you the leads as to where your work is being published perhaps without permission. Something to think about in the future, and yes it is more work…. Gah!

Anyway; that discourse only detracts from THIS image. As always redmum, love your photography. Great stuff.

It is something I’ve thought about for a while, and stalled on doing it and then at times nearly tempted to throw a big copyright redmum over the centre of the shot! I am going to look into putting something into the metadata of the pic and see how that goes, not that you would know unless something contacted me to use an image on the back of that. As you know, and thanks again for that, people have been able to find out where a pic has come from, or stolen directly from the site and not contacted me about permission to use. We’ll see this Orphan Works nonsense is somewhat frightening!
