Passport queues again

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

There was another big queue this morning at the passport office and growing as I was passing. Apologies for posting passport pics two days in a row, but its hard to pass and not take pics. The second pic begins at the end of the passport office just to give you an idea of perspective, it was definitely a shot for my wide angle which I didn’t have with me. (Wondering what its all about, find out more at the Irish Times.)

There was a massive queue waiting on the passport office this morning, stretching back to the Freemason’s building on Molesworth Street, just after I took the pic, they were beginning to move in.

Reeds – Phoenix Park

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Okay so I planned to do some work on the yarden this weekend, if the weather was good. And it was good but I didn’t do anything at all in the back; I did go for a walk in the Phoenix Park :)

Irish Blog Awards 2010

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

I was absolutely thrilled last night to learn I was one of the five finalists for best photoblog at next week’s Irish Blog Awards. I am seriously chuffed and looking forward to the awards which are in Galway this weekend. The awards weekend is mighty craic, generally with lots of different things happening, some of the things I hope to make it too include the Ladies Lunch and the photowalk. If you haven’t been to any of the previous awards and fancy coming along, do you’ll have a ball.

Lasty I want to thank Damien and the judges for all their hard work, as well as our category sponsor Pix.ie. Do check out the other finalists in Best Photoblog Nathalie Marquez Courtney, Ronan Palliser, North Atlantic Skyline and Day516.com. You should also check out all the other finalists in all the different categories, you will find some new interesting blogs.

Masons reflected

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

I took this pic the other evening and got quite excited taking it. I was walking down Molesworth Street as quite a gang of people were making their way into the Masonic Lodge there. I realised that I could see the reflection of them going in on the street light and started snapping away. As I said I was quite excited getting the pic; when I got home and downloaded it I wasn’t as sure. Then when my god daughter was over the other day she was impressed with the man in the glass so mostly for that reason I’ll post it.
