St Patrick’s Day parade

Here’s some pics from out and about the St Patrick’s Day parade which was great craic. The buzz around the city is great and I love the before and afterwards on the city’s streets, it’s like reclaim the streets, no traffic at all and people walking everywhere. (I suppose that is easy to say when you live in Stoneybatter which isn’t that far of a walk at all.) Anyway I hope you enjoy them and I have posted links at the end to more pics. (My favourite is the people standing on the Dublin Bikes stand ).

This guy got a bit camera shy.

People became ingenious about finding spots to stand on for a more elevated view of the parade, these are Dublin Bike stands.

This lot were perched on the side wall of City Hall, I could not have done that.

Fun at the funfair

Some more pics from my yesterday’s trip to the Merrion Sq funfair with my god daughter, oh with a stop to the park along the way.

There were three jaunts in this barbie car, she would have taken it home if she could.

We’d two trips on the big wheel, fearless she was.

Merrion Sq Funfair and Happy St Patrick’s Day

I was at the Merrion Sq funfair yesterday, which is part of the fun and festivities around St Patrick’s Festival in Dubin and I couldn’t resist doing this shot again, course its all pretty at night with its lights on, but still…

The view is great and I do have more shots which I’ll sort out later and post up, but in the meantime we can see Lansdowne Road is coming along well.

I’ll put up some more later on but you can see last year’s pics on Pixie, for now I’m off to the parade Have a good day wherever you are.

Boxes

These coloured boxes hang from the ceiling in the atrium at the Maldron Hotel in Limerick where I stayed on Friday night. Just one thing for the Maldron, a king-size bed is NOT two single beds pushed together, thats a king-size stretch in my books.
