10.10am 10/10/10 – snapshot in time
Monday, October 11th, 2010On Friday I had a thought that I tweeted about people taking a pic at 10.10am, today Sunday the 1oth of October the 10th month of 2010. After an initial hiccup about the day (I thought it was Saturday) and another with the hashtag! (Gah to impatient tweeting) people responded with lots and lots of pics, so here they are.
If you tweeted a pic and I have somehow missed it, send me a link to it on twitter (@redmum) and I’ll amend the entry to include it.
Thanks to everyone who took part, the response was fantastic. And a big thanks to everyone who retweeted it and got more people involved. It was a bit of craic and a great peak into what was going on all over the place for one minute at 10.10am this morning. Thanks again

And finally, as in finally off the camera and uploaded, my pic going into Dublin’s Port Tunnel @redmum
Dail protests; Oct 4th – Oct 7th 2010
Thursday, October 7th, 2010Unfortunately this week I missed a protest against deportation, I heard them, ran out and by the time I got there, they were packing up to leave. I also missed the storming of the Dail by the Fig Roll lads but others managed to snap them about town.
I read the news today, oh boy
Wednesday, October 6th, 2010Dáil resumes as do the protests
Tuesday, October 5th, 2010Last week was the first week back for the Dáil following the summer recess and the protesters were back in full force. It started Tuesday with people protesting against a visiting delegation from China, the second pic shows the subject of their ire travelling past, while the third is a man showing his opposition to NAMA and the prescription levy.
On Wednesday thats when the real show began with the Dáil coming back and all manners of protesters taking to the streets. There were people highlighting cancer screening, the anti civil partnership group, the families of children who’ve died in HSE care, the ICTU march, some anti-choicers including old heads from Youth Defence, Godly people, community groups and more. So the last lot of shots are from that motley crue and as ever there are more protest pics from last week on Pixie.
