Old and new Dublin and my attempts to photoshop them together

This post is pretty much what it says on the title. Spurred on by some of the great Google Streetview challenge posts on Broadsheet I gave it a shot, please be kind. I’ve included the pics and screengrabs I used for comparison.
The first image is Dorset Street and features the former home of playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan which is now pretty much in ruins. The second image is City Hall. I used old images I found on the Dublin.ie forum and features some great old pics of Dublin. I have a feeling I may come back to this, photoshop skills permitting.
