Well hello there. As much as I’ve been trying to find time to either take pics, process the ones I haven’t gotten around to yet or get back to blogging, the lack of hours in the day has conspired against me.

One thing I can fit into my day though is Instagram, (you can see more of my pics on Instagram here). I think without it I would be taking few pics for myself at all. Between Instagram and Smug Mug’s iphone app I am having way to much fun and all with my phone. I have overdosed somewhat on the textures part of the app but I’m still having fun with it and with so many filters and textures, frames to choose from, it is hard to not have fun. And it is free, mostly. There are some free filters as well as other filters and textures from Kevin Kubota (who incidentally has a great book Digital Photography Boot Camp which is well worth a buy) and buying each set costs 79c.

Anyway if I don’t get to take pics for here, I will post some of my instagram pics.

At the Presidential election count

I’ve been quiet here as I’ve been working on Michael D’s Presidential election campaign. I’m going to do a post with some of my favourite photographs from the campaign, but in the meantime I spotted this on the coat rail in the count centre, as well as a pic of Michael D and his wife Sabina taken at the count last night. HEY remember me?

I’ve been having broadband problems, storage problems (my computer is full and despite taking everything off it that I can, I can barely download any pics before it starts to tell me its full up. So both these factors have played a large part in me not ploughing through pics or being online to any real degree. While the broadband is sorted, that is not, so I still have a ton of pics to catch up with.

Anyway in the meantime here’s two snaps from this morning, taken from the roof of Facebook’s offices in Dublin early this morning. What a view! More from the backlog soon.

Obama!

I have lots more from Obama’s visit on Monday, including shots of empty streets, security and security barriers, but this is all I’ve been able to upload so far, so there are more to come.

There was less traffic on the streets and buses running slower than normal all part of the many preparations for the Royal visit today. It was mad to see so many streets lined with sparkly clean barriers and more Gardai than I have ever seen, I snapped these pics through the bus window on my way into work.

Gosh I can’t believe I’ve not been here in a while, particularly considering I’ve a serious backlog of pics, many of which are destined for here. But I will get through them and I will get back to updating more regularly, when I get the backlog of pics sorted. In the meantime, here’s a pic from Donegal from last November (told you I had a serious backlog building!).
